Seed Work

In order to make regional seed production more economically viable, growers need access to seed cleaning equipment. With the support of Northeast SARE, we have purchased a thresher, Winnow Wizzard, 18 seed screens, and other hand-scale equipment to share with growers.

Philia Farm is hosting an Organic Research and Education Initiative grant trial for project OSPREY: Organic Seed Production Research for Education and Yield. Growers will be able to see the trials at a field day in fall 2026- stay tuned for more!
